Comfort Keepers® Celebrates the National Day of Joy on June 25

On June 25, Comfort Keepers® is proud to celebrate the 7th Annual National Day of Joy, an event dedicated to recognizing the moments that bring happiness, purpose, and connection into our lives. This year’s theme, “The Heart of Caregiving,” shines a spotlight on the profound impact caregivers have—not only in the lives of those they serve but also within entire communities.
Inspired by Comfort Keepers’ sponsorship of the PBS documentary Caregiving, this year’s celebration goes beyond recognition—it tells real stories. One such story features a Comfort Keepers caregiver, Christine Fadriga, and a client, Bette Rosen, whose bond captured the hearts of many in the national spotlight. Their touching journey was highlighted in the PBS special, serving as a powerful example of the emotional richness and deep connection that caregiving fosters.
A Tribute to the Unsung Heroes
Caregiving is often described as a calling, and for those who serve with compassion and grace, it brings moments of both challenge and incredible joy. “The Heart of Caregiving” theme underscores how these moments—no matter how small—can transform lives. Whether it’s a shared laugh, a warm hand to hold, or the simple dignity of independence, these interactions form the core of what Comfort Keepers is all about.
A Day to Celebrate and Connect
The National Day of Joy is also a time to reconnect with those who have helped shape the Comfort Keepers’ mission. Across the country, Comfort Keepers offices will be gathering with community partners, team members, and caregivers to celebrate the milestones they’ve reached together. These in-person events are more than just celebrations—they’re heartfelt reunions, filled with gratitude for the everyday heroes who make comfort, care, and joy possible.

The inclusion of Comfort Keepers’ own caregiver, Christine, and client, Bette, in “The Heart of Caregiving,” is a testament to the authenticity and depth of their commitment.
