For more than 26 years, women have trusted Dr. Gigi Kroll as a steady, compassionate presence in their healthcare journeys. Today, through her reimagined practice, Gigi Kroll, Concierge MD, is redefining what women’s health – especially midlife and beyond – should look like in our community.

Located in Newport Beach, Dr. Kroll’s concierge practice is the culmination of a distinguished career in private practice as a general OB/GYN. In 2008, she foundedNewport Center Women’s Healthand spent the next decade caring for Orange County’s maternity community, ultimately delivering approximately 8,000 babies throughout her career.  In 2019, recognizing the need for a more personalized, relationship-based model, she developed a concierge platform. By 2023, she became aCertified Menopause Provider—one of only about 3,000 in the entire United States—and officially rebranded her practice as Gigi Kroll, Concierge MD, shifting her focus to gynecology, perimenopause and menopause care.

A Concierge Model for Every Stage of a Woman’s Life

Gigi Kroll, Concierge MD, provides comprehensive healthcare for women in all stages of life, including contraception, preconception, the first trimester of pregnancy, gynecology (with expertise in conditions such as endometriosis, fibroids and abnormal bleeding), sexual health, perimenopause, menopause and preventative care. With a specialization in the hormone transition phase, Dr. Kroll’s approach is intentionally holistic: she prioritizes education, support and a full spectrum of options, then helps each patient develop an actionable plan to improve sleep, exercise routines, nutrition and stress mitigation.

The concierge offering also includes primary care services for patients, with a strong emphasis on routine screening and preventative tests. To make care seamless and efficient, the practice features an in-house lab and a full-time phlebotomist with Primex™, enabling patients to complete necessary bloodwork on-site.

Patients can also access IV hydration services. The office assists with specialist referrals and offers ultrasound services as well as In-Body Composition Analysis.

For intimate health and quality of life, Dr. Kroll’s practice offers the MonaLisa™ Touch vaginal CO2 laser, a technology-driven solution for vaginal dryness pain, and bladder dysfunction.

Another standout of the practice is its association with in-house dermatology PA Jennifer Moller of Skinwise Aesthetics, who offers comprehensive medical and aesthetic dermatology services, including hair-loss evaluation and treatment. This collaboration enables women to address a wide range of concerns, from skin and hair health to regenerative services, all under one roof.

GetSimly: A Thoughtful Approach to Medical Weight Management

Recognizing how closely weight, hormones and overall well-being are intertwined, Dr. Kroll also developed a medical weight management program, GetSimly, led by her 18-year colleague, Aileen Slivkoff, WHNP. The program begins with a thorough medical evaluation and includes personalized education, nutrition recommendations with macro-tracking, exercise counseling, and, when appropriate, FDA-approved weight-loss medications.

Patients receive close follow-up and monitoring, including body composition analysis, to help prevent muscle loss and adverse effects. To date, GetSimly has helped hundreds of individuals safely and effectively lose weight and maintain a healthier lifestyle, reinforcing Dr. Kroll’s commitment to long-term, sustainable health rather than quick fixes.

One of the Few True Hormone Experts in the Area

As a Certified Menopause Specialist, Dr. Kroll is uniquely positioned as one of the few true hormone replacement experts in our area. She is deeply passionate about serving as a resource for women navigating perimenopause, menopause and beyond, and she welcomes patients from all stages of life who are seeking clarity, support, and evidence-based treatment options.

Her practice stands out in a crowded medical landscape by offering personalized, prolonged appointments, 24/7 access for emergency medical issues and a separate concierge texting line (Monday through Friday). Patients enjoy reserved parking, a warm and friendly staff and a beautiful office environment designed to help them feel relaxed and at home.

In many cases, a patient can have a physician consult, an ultrasound and a blood draw all in a single visit. For women dealing with gynecologic issues, especially in the midlife years, Dr. Kroll also performs surgical treatments related to fibroids, polyps and dysfunctional uterine bleeding. Outpatient procedures, including hysteroscopy, D&C and endometrial ablations, allow her to offer a truly full-service approach to women’s healthcare, from evaluation to intervention.

Dr. Kroll aims to live out this mission through compassionate listening, thoughtful education and by bringing together her many years of experience treating women, her specialized training in perimenopause and menopause, and her own personal journey through three pregnancies, perimenopause and menopause.

In addition to clinical care, Dr. Kroll is on a mission to educate the community about menopause and the years leading up to it. She wants women, and their families, to understand some critical truths:

  • 50% of the population will experience menopause if they are fortunate enough to live long enough.

  • Perimenopause is the 7–10 years prior to menopause and can begin as early as age 35.

  • Most clinicians, including primary care physicians, specialists, and even some OB/GYNs, do not receive thorough training in menopause care and may not be up-to-date on the latest evidence-based treatment options.

  • This hormonal transition can negatively impact a woman’s quality of life and overall health—yet there are many safe interventions and solutions to treat symptoms, mitigate risks and avoid decline

Her message to the community is simple and powerful: “Menopause is inevitable. Suffering is not.”

Partnering in New Ways: Concierge Internal Medicine

The Kroll-McConnaughey family’s commitment to healthcare extends beyond women’s midlife care. Dr. Kroll’s husband of 31 years, Dr. Doug McConnaughey, has also launched a Concierge Internal Medicine practice and is seeing patients in the same beautiful Newport Beach office. His practice offers enhanced, personalized care for adults seeking a more comprehensive and attentive internal medicine experience.

Personal Life in Newport Beach

Dr. Kroll isn’t just a physician in Newport Beach; she’s a longtime resident who has called this community home for 26 years. Some of her favorite local joys will sound familiar to many neighbors:

  • Cruising on the family Duffy boat around the Back Bay at sunset—something she says she never gets tired of.

  • Walking Balboa Island, often with her English cream retriever, enjoying the people-watching, friendly faces and the near certainty that you’ll run into someone you know.

  • Summer weeks on the Balboa Peninsula, when her children were in middle and high school, renting a beach house and savoring the magic of opening the door and stepping directly onto the sand.

Outside of work, her absolute favorite thing is spending time with family and friends. With three adult children, any chance to gather and “just hang out” is treasured. She also has a deep love of travel and sees it as her favorite way to learn about history, culture, geography and even biology.

Recently, she took her first trip to Africa, visiting Zambia, Zimbabwe and South Africa. The experience was profound: visiting a simple clinic and small villages, celebrating Independence Day, witnessing incredible animals on safari, hiking Table Mountain, and learning more about apartheid. In her words, “it was incredible.”

Giving Back: From Newport to Zambia

Dr. Kroll’s passion has always centered on the care of mothers and children. At the urging of her friend Stephanie Argyros, she joined the Foundation Board of Directors at Children’s Hospital Orange County (CHOC), where she served for more than 10 years and co-chaired two major Galas—in 2017 and 2025. Her personal fundraising efforts contributed to the development of CHOC’s state-of-the-art NICU, its maternal-fetal program and the refurbishment of the small baby unit.

She also supports Hoag Hospital, where she has been on staff for 26 years, as well as UCI and City of Hope. Her commitment to global health extends abroad, too, as she helps raise funds for Mwandi Hospital in Zambia, reflecting her belief that women and children everywhere deserve compassionate, quality care.

Dr. Kroll is also excited to support a new nonprofit organization, “Pause to Action,” founded by philanthropist Kimberly Snyder. The mission is to “replace silence and confusion around midlife with clarity, confidence, and community support.”

Pause to Action hosted its first “Masterclass on a Woman’s Midlife Transition” on January 28th at the Newport Beach Country Club.

During this masterclass, attendees learned about hormonal change and the symptoms and health risks they may experience; the impact of midlife transition on weight and metabolism, the musculoskeletal system, neuro and cardiovascular health, and skin and hair. The program also explored lifestyle interventions, hormone therapy, and additional treatments designed to help women thrive in this chapter of life.
