The Inaugural Mayor’s Party, presented in partnership with Visit Newport Beach, delivered an evening that was equal parts celebratory and meaningful, bringing together community members, civic leaders and local partners for a memorable night at VEA Newport Beach on Tuesday, December 9, 2025. From the moment guests arrived, the atmosphere reflected the excitement and pride shared throughout Newport Beach as the community gathered to mark an important new chapter in city leadership.
The event honored Lauren Kleiman, who now serves as the Mayor of Newport Beach. Elected to City Council in 2022, Mayor Pro Tem in 2025, and Mayor in 2026, Mayor Kleiman brings a strong commitment to public safety and a clear focus on preserving the city’s exceptional quality of life. Her extensive record of civic involvement includes serving as Vice Chair of the Newport Beach Aviation Committee, the City’s delegate to the Southern California Association of Governments (SCAG), Vice Chair of the Orange County Council of Governments (OCCOG), and a board member of the Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA). Her leadership reflects years of dedicated service and a deep understanding of the issues shaping the city’s future.
Throughout the evening, guests engaged in lively conversation, formed new connections and reunited with familiar faces, all within an atmosphere that underscored Newport Beach’s strong sense of civic pride. The event served not only as a celebration of new leadership but also as a reflection of the shared values and collective vision that continue to guide the community forward.
