When Diana Baker began her design career in 2010, she quickly developed a reputation for listening deeply and designing with intention. What started as interior design work grew organically into something much larger as she found herself increasingly engaged in every part of the construction process. Her natural evolution into the design–build space became the foundation for The Neptune Company, now one of Newport Beach’s most trusted and thoughtfully run firms.
Today, Diana leads a licensed general contracting team based locally, bringing architecture, interior design and construction together under one roof. Their approach offers clients something rare: a seamless journey from the first spark of inspiration to the final key in hand. The Neptune Company specializes in high-end custom homes built with a blend of elegance, craftsmanship and genuine heart—an experience shaped around the lives and dreams of the families they serve.

The driving inspiration behind The Neptune Company came from Diana’s desire to simplify what is often an overwhelming journey for homeowners. By blending architecture, design and construction within a single company, she created a streamlined, highly collaborative process that replaces stress with clarity and creativity. It’s a philosophy that continues to guide the firm as it expands its work across the country, including a newly launched custom riverfront project in Arizona that has just broken ground.
Personal Life
Diana and her family have called Newport Beach home since 2019, embracing the lifestyle that makes this community so special. They love the sense of connection, the active coastal energy, and being just steps from the beach. When the workday winds down, weekend life takes over: Sunday beach volleyball, cheering on their daughter as she rows at NAC, biking the boardwalk, hosting neighborhood gatherings, relaxing with family and even learning to ride horses with friends.
Giving back is an integral part of Diana’s everyday life, whether through school volunteering, serving as PTA president, or participating in local beach cleanups. It’s all part of being rooted in the same community they design and build for.
