ROGER’S GARDENS INVITES SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA TO EXPERIENCE “HUMMINGBIRD SUMMER”

Roger's Gardens is inviting the community to slow down and enjoy one of nature's smallest yet most fascinating visitors during A Hummingbird Summer, a seasonal celebration taking place July 10 through August 23.

Throughout the summer, guests can stroll through a vibrant living hummingbird garden where these tiny birds dart among colorful blooms, offering an up-close look at one of Southern California's most beloved pollinators. The immersive display showcases how thoughtful plant selections can transform any outdoor space into a welcoming habitat for hummingbirds while creating a beautiful, water-wise garden.

Visitors will discover an extensive collection of nectar-rich flowers, California native plants, unique hummingbird feeders, and garden accessories designed to attract hummingbirds and support other beneficial pollinators. Roger's Gardens' horticulture experts will also be on hand throughout the event to answer questions and share practical tips on selecting the right plants, providing natural food sources, and creating a healthy environment where hummingbirds can thrive year-round.

Beyond inspiring home gardeners, A Hummingbird Summer also supports an important conservation effort. During the event, guests can round up their purchases to the nearest dollar, with all proceeds benefiting Sea & Sage Audubon. Roger's Gardens will match every customer donation, continuing a partnership that has already generated more than $20,000 to help protect birds, wildlife, and their natural habitats throughout Orange County.

Hummingbirds play a vital role in pollinating many flowering plants, making them an essential part of Southern California's ecosystem. By incorporating native and drought-tolerant plants into home landscapes, gardeners can create sustainable habitats that benefit not only hummingbirds but butterflies, bees, and countless other pollinators.

Whether you're an experienced gardener or simply looking for a peaceful summer outing, A Hummingbird Summer offers the opportunity to experience these remarkable birds in action while gathering inspiration for your own backyard oasis.

A Hummingbird Summer runs daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., July 10 through August 23, at Roger's Gardens, located at 2301 San Joaquin Hills Road, Corona del Mar.
