May 31st from 10am - 5pm, CASA OC’s 9th Annual Pinwheel Project will take place at the Bloomingdale’s Courtyard at Fashion Island in Newport Beach.

Hosted by CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) of Orange County, colorful pinwheels will be “planted” across the lawn—each one representing a child currently in the foster care system right here in Orange County.

41st Newport Spirit Run is taking place Sunday, March 16, 2025 at Fashion Island.

Spirit Run’s 41 year history

From 1983-2010, PTAs from five Newport Beach elementary schools presented spirit run and shared its net proceeds. In 2010, Newport mesa spirit run, INc. (NMSRI), a California 501(c)(3) non profit, was founded to continue Spirit Run. It invited local public and private schools, youth sports programs, and other select causes to participate in spirit Run and share in its net proceeds.
